While it has tanks, you can play the whole round without running into one and in Chainlink there are none. If I wanted a flat map I would play cs or cod.
That being said I feel like Propaganda is really linear. And everything is just capped in circles. While surprisingly I rarely play dlc maps even though I have all of them. It makes it harder to control your environment and introduces too much randomness. Engineer has access to 7 or 8 weapons in HL. Bf4 you have like 20 plus. Bf4 Premium by a landslide. I keep having a graphics bug that will not let me get any fun out of the game. Everything works perfect until I get into an actual game.
The non symmetrical weapons are annoying. I find a shotty I like and its Crims only. Find an Assault rifle I like? I went back to BF4 and have been having a lot more fun.
More servers, more content and more players. The cash system is really nice though. Get 20 kills with the AK? Sweet, grab any optic you want as long as you have the Cash. Alot of people are enjoying it, including me, i find it different from 4, i enjoy both just as much.
Everyone always claims to hate the latest Battlefield. BFH is a Trainwreck, and is just very thin in content. There is a possibility that BFH will improve, but if you look at BF4, it looks like it may take close to a year, or at least a few months. So, yes, hardline may be a decent game, but BF4 beats Hardline by miles in terms of value for your dollar. People forget that 3 was actually a huge, huge change that made the game a lot different from previous titles. Hardline actually has a lot of elements of the old games, especially where the aesthetic and environment are concerned.
This sub is oriented towards battlefield players. Of fucking course its still a fun game. But its a totally different game than your typical battlefield experience with the battlfield name slapped on it. Seriously go lick your moms taint. Bad company 2 is an incredible game. Just because they put the battlefield name on the game doesnt inherently make it a good battlefield game. Its a good game. But it is a shit excuse for a battlefield game. If they took the idea of hardline and expanded on it without trying to stay in the confines of a classic bf game it could be so much better.

Hardcore BF fans have been getting pushed to their ropes end since BF3, I guess many have finally snapped. Want a fast paced game that you can quickly get through a round or two while dinner cooks? Played it for maybe a day and a half before returning it. It should just be called "hardline" the fact it bearers the battlefield name is an insult to the franchise in my honest opinion.
You say its a reskin but if thats the case why am I not enjoying it. Probably because its a shit game they tried so hard to be battlefield but just made a bad dlc basically. Not really, bf4 feels different IMO compared to bf3 yes they have similar things but bf4 has new shit than bf3 had. Plus it had waay more options. Hardline is basically 60 dlc. Yeah ot might be fun but its just a bf4 clone they could have made a amazing cop game but they stuck to the same formula as bf4 just added a money system, few "new" gametypes, and a tad bit better campaign.
I have both, and consider BF4 to be far superior to hard line. Really depends on what you want. I own both and they are very different. However, different does not mean bad and Hardline is not a bad game. If you want a more mature, complex chess game of a shooter, go for 4 Premium. Personally 4 is what I prefer but either one is a good choice. It depends on your preferences.

Everyone on this sub is biased and not open to a spin off or change. If the Battlefield community was so against spin-offs then we all would have hated Bad Company 1 and 2, but most people here agree those were fantastic games, Bad Company 2 more than the first. Hardline is a fun game. My roommate bought it on PS4. We are arguing about the fact that EA, and by extension DICE and Visceral, are money grubbing by this game.
If you can justify it, then have at it. I will say the soundtrack for Hardline is on point. To learn about EA just take a look at NHL The only game mode they basically put in at launch was hockey ultimate team.
Only reason that was in was because people spend real money on packs of cards. I personally really like Hardline, I prefer the slightly quicker gameplay, and the infantry focused combat. Hardline has 4 expansions planned, and despite what everyone is saying still tends to have a decent sized playerbase at least on pc. If the beta is anything like the fill version, Hardline is trash.
